Inspiron 5515-3117- Reeboting over and over (keyboard blinking)
Hello.
I have a problem with my laptop. A few days ago it suddenly stopped starting by itself. The previous day I turned it off normally, the next day unfortunately it could not start. Currently it starts for a second, the fan starts spinning quite loudly, the keyboard lights up and suddenly everything goes out and so on and so forth. Nothing happens on the screen at all. Dark screen without logo - nothing.
I disconnected the main battery, disconnected RAM, small 3V battery, disconnected all SSD drives, tried ctrl+esc (it only makes a beep and nothing more but it starts over and over again) I tried key D + power with no change.
Could it be a motherboard failure and will the motherboard need to be replaced??

Hi
I would add in a single RAM module, leaving the SSD 's out and both batteries dis-connected.
Then power on and note any changes.
Also I would want to add in a Bootable USB so that it could make a difference, by attempting to boot from it.
If you are unable to run any kind of diagnostics then I would suspect the CPU and/or the Main Board.
Neither of which are likely to be proven one way or another.
Sorry but that is the best I can offer.

Thank you very much for your answer and offer of help.
Unfortunately, it did not help, the computer still behaves the same.
I am forced to replace the motherboard.
The Inspiron 5515 was released with R3, R5 and R7 processors.
I have the opportunity to buy a motherboard with an R7 5700U processor. Will such a motherboard fit in my laptop? I understand that the motherboard itself does not change. I have carefully reviewed the photos and all the connectors match my motherboard 1:1. I have an R5 5500U processor. My motherboard designation (P/N): 0WCD6Y. The motherboard I would like to buy (P/N): 0KDKG8.
When replacing the motherboard with a different processor, do I have to reinstall Windows "cleanly" or should everything work after switching without the need to format the system and lose data?
