If the recovery OS on your Dell Inspiron 5510 has been destroyed or is not functioning correctly, you may still have a few options to restore your laptop to a working state:

  1. Create a recovery USB: If the recovery partition on your laptop is no longer accessible, you can try creating a bootable recovery USB drive using Dell's official recovery media creation tool. This tool will allow you to create a USB drive with the original factory image, allowing you to reinstall the operating system and drivers.

  2. Windows installation media: If you don't have access to the Dell recovery media creation tool, you can use a standard Windows installation media (USB or DVD) to reinstall the operating system. You will need a valid Windows license key to activate the installation.

  3. Dell Support: Contact Dell Support for assistance. They may be able to provide recovery media or guide you through the process of restoring your laptop to its original state.

  4. Restore from backup: If you had previously created a backup of your data and system settings, you can use it to restore your laptop to a state before the recovery OS was destroyed. Windows has a built-in backup and restore feature, or you can use third-party backup solutions.

  5. Professional service: If none of the above options work or if you are uncomfortable performing the reinstallation yourself, you can take your laptop to an authorized Dell service center or a professional technician. They can diagnose the issue and perform the necessary recovery or reinstall the OS for you.

Remember that restoring the operating system will erase all data on the laptop's hard drive, so make sure to back up any important files before proceeding with the recovery process.

In the future, it's a good idea to create a backup of your recovery partition or create recovery media when you first set up your laptop. This way, you can easily restore your system in case of any issues or disasters.

All you can do at this point is a clean install of Windows 11, followed by the installation of Dell's drivers and utilities.

Hi

Excellent advice given above.

However I am unclear  about the condition/status of the NVMe

""broken my 512gb nvme""

If it is still physically intact I would try, as a desperation measure ....

The above may provide some clues.

Short version, Linux Mint Live USB, boot from it and use Gparted.

It is Lo-Cost/No-Cost possibility.
