Inspiron 5480, no audio output device is installed

I'm using Inspiron 5480 for about 6 years. One day, uddenly after starting my laptop I could not hear any audio. And it was showing that no audio output device is installed. I tried various trouble shooters but it was also showing that no audio output device is installed. I also tried various other things but is not fixing, what should I do now?

To fix the "no audio output device is installed" error on your Dell Inspiron 14 5000 2-in-1, you can try updating or reinstalling your audio drivers, running the Windows audio troubleshooter, or checking sound settings and making sure the correct device is selected. If the issue persists, you might need to check for Windows updates or consider using the generic audio driver.

You can also click here for troubleshooting the audio issues on your computer.

To receive assistance from Dell chat support, they need to verify the warranty status and ownership. Then you must troubleshoot with them.  Click the "Get Help Now" icon on the right to start a live chat session. If already out of warranty, click here for the Dell out of warranty offering.

Well No Audio Output Device is Installed message usually means your system isn’t recognizing the sound hardware. Here’s are some fix you can try out.

  • Check Device Manager
  • Manually Install or Update the Driver using a good driver updater software like advanced driver Updater or any other good driver updater.
  • Enable Audio Device in BIOS
  • Run Windows Troubleshooter
  • Check for Windows Updates

Unfortunately, mine isn't fixed. Let me guide you to Reinstall the audio drivers for your model

Realtek Audio Driver Inspiron Inspiron_5480

Waves Maxx Audio Service and EQ

Download both of these drivers.  This audio driver requires the Waves MaxxAudio Pro or Dell Optimizer application to be installed to have full functionality. Give it a try, I guess.
