Inspiron 3542, unable to change EFI boot logo

I have an 11 year old Inspiron 3542 and I am unable to change the boot logo. I am unable to find any official application to do this task. I don't know how to do that. One thing I am sure it can because I received this laptop from government with already changed logo.

Hi

If your Inspiron 3542 has a custom OEM logo (e.g., government or university logo), Dell support and community posts indicate that changing or removing this logo is often not possible due to firmware restrictions.

Attempting unofficial methods or third-party tools to change the BIOS splash screen can risk bricking your laptop and are not recommended.

If after BIOS update the logo does not change, it likely means the system is locked to a custom OEM splash screen.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
How to Reset or Change the BIOS Boot Logo:
Download the latest BIOS update for your Inspiron 3542 from Dell’s official support site by entering your service tag.
Open an elevated Command Prompt or PowerShell (Admin):
Right-click the Start menu → select Command Prompt (Admin) or Windows PowerShell (Admin).
Run the BIOS update with the /DellLogo  switch to reset to the default Dell logo:
text
C:\path\to\BIOSupdate.exe /DellLogo
Replace C:\path\to\BIOSupdate.exe with the actual path and filename of the BIOS update you downloaded.
This command will re-flash the BIOS and restore the default Dell splash screen.
Summary Table
Step Action
Download BIOS update From Dell support site for Inspiron 3542
Open elevated command prompt Run as Administrator
Run BIOS update with switch BIOSupdate.exe /DellLogo
Result Resets splash screen to default Dell logo
If unsuccessful Custom OEM logo likely locked in firmware
If you want to try changing the boot logo, this is the safest official method. Otherwise, for most Inspiron 3542 models with custom logos, the logo cannot be changed.
One of me many sauces...
Looking to revert to the default Dell BIOS splash screen from a custom logo?
I do not know if it is still relevant though.
@anne_droid
I did exactly that. It gave an error saying that /DellLogo isn't a valid argument. So, I think it is locked to custom OEM splash screen.
Thanks.
@DELL-Chris M
I think you should also add that if it doesn't work, then it's impossible to do so. I think, I should write this in feedback as well.
