Inspiron 3535, LCD broke in bag

Purchased a Dell Inspiron 3535 for my son’s 13th birthday, loaded it saved passwords etc. He put it in his laptop bag, got to school went to show a friend and the screen broke opening it. I have called our Noel Leeming store and basically told “it’s damage not our problem”, how is an item that is meant to be a mobile device so easily broken??, how is an item that is advertised as return to school and is clearly not fit for purpose our problem, if I wanted a desktop I would have got a desktop. The structure of this laptop is extremely flimsy and the hinges are extremely tight. Lasted 4 hours. Not good enough.

To receive assistance from Dell chat support, they need to verify the warranty status and ownership. Then you must troubleshoot with them.  Click the "Get Help Now" icon on the right to start a live chat session. If already out of warranty, click here for the Dell out of warranty offering.
