Inspiron 3530 - freezing while editing documents in Word and Wordpress
I have had some issues with a laptop and wondering if you can help me figure this out.
I can have a Word document open, editing it, and all of the sudden it will no longer allow me to type anything in the application. I can go up to the top and type in the search bar. I can click file - save, close the document, reopen it and continue to work the document until it freezes up again.
I would think that it is an Office issue, but it happens on other things such as editing a WordPress site, using the web, etc. I ran diagnostics and I got a single failure out of 5 attempts to run it via SupportAssist - History just shows "failed" and no information on what has failed. Often when I am trying to open SupportAssist, it takes forever to open, I see "This is taking longer than expected. We recommend restarting your PC and trying again", and then often just opens into SupportAssist.
I have also put a different hard drive into the system and rebuilt the system with both Windows 10 and 11. This hasn't resolved the issue - same as before - freezing up, so I am honestly wondering if it is a hardware issue.
I am starting to wonder if this is having a memory issue. It is a machine that was bought from Dell Outlet in the past. What are your thoughts?

Run the diagnostics outside of Windows -- press F12 a few times at powerup to access. How much RAM does the system have?

@ejn63 16gb. I am going to pull both modules and put in known good RAM tomorrow.
