Inspiron 3520, Dell Optimizer Application won't install

I have not been able to install this app for several months though it always tries.  Is there a solution to this problem???????

The application is not supported by all models -- what model Inspiron (3501, 5593, etc.) do you have?

* Download/save Dell Optimizer Application 6.3.2.0 to the Windows Desktop

* Right click the EXE file, left click on Run as administrator. What happens?

It tries to installs then sent this message:

"Package Dell Optimizer Error:  Error 1714.  The older version of Dell Optimizer cannot be removed.  Contact your technical support group"

Try to manually uninstall the older version of Dell Optimizer. Restart when fininished. Then try to install the new version.

No luck..unistalled old version, restarted, checked again to be sure it uninstalled, restarted again and attempted to install from your download.

Do I need to change/delete some registry entries?  How bad do I really need Optimizer???   It is frustrating that I can't figure it out...

I can tell you how I use my Dell home computers (Alienware Desktop, Inspiron Laptop).

I try to run a very streamlined Windows OS.

I do not have 3rd party antivirus software installed. I use Microsoft built-in Defender.

I do not need any additional software dictating to me when a driver is released. I only update a driver to correct a specific issue. I never update a driver just because it is newer.

I use the Windows OS built-in tools for optimizing performance.

For diagnostics, I use the pre-Windows F12 ePSA (Pre-boot System Assessment).
