Inspiron 15 7510 Power adapter type c
Hello,
I own a Dell Inspiron 15 7510 and I'm currently looking to purchase a replacement power adapter. I’ve noticed that the laptop includes a Thunderbolt 4 (USB-C) port with DisplayPort and Power Delivery (PD) support. I’d like to know if it’s possible to use a USB-C (Type-C) power adapter to charge the laptop through this port. If so, what wattage and specifications should the adapter have to ensure safe and effective charging? Additionally, I’m curious whether charging via USB-C would offer the same performance as the original 130W barrel-style charger that came with the device. I’d appreciate any guidance or compatible product recommendations for this setup.
Thank you!

It will charge over Thunderbolt, but it won't charge as rapidly and the system will not operate at full performance doing so. The best you'll get from any Thunderbolt adapter is 90W -- meaning there will be a power deficit vs the 130W adapter the system needs.
The only way to charge the system and run it at full speed is with the OEM 130 W adapter.
