Hi.i have :Inspiron 15, 5510System Service Tag: <To protect you, your private information was removed from public view. All private data was saved to your private Case. DELL-Admin> issue 1 - The black plastic cover of letter A and S is gone. Hence, i can't see the letters any more, only a spot of backlight.issue 2 - The key for letter '' i '' is not working right. Sometime i need to press the '' i '' key 10-20-30 times to get an ''i'' and sometimes it give me a ii ou iii ou iiii.The key board has already been replaced 2x for issue 1. The Tech said that he had replaced a lot for the same issue no 1During extended warrantee, Dell refused to remplace the keyboard for a 3rd time even if it was covered 2 times before for the same quality issue. The The Dell keyboard Quality is very bad.What is the model number or the part and cost for :Full palmrestOnly keyboard What is the easiest to replace ?Thank you.Louis Boucher

The only part you'll find from Dell or a Dell parts seller is the palmrest. It's not expensive but the labor to replace it will be, since the entire system has to be disassembled.

Others may have the keycaps for the system. Assuming that's the only missing part and they mount and hinges are OK, you can search for those online.

is is possible to replace a few keys or is it 1 block ?How long would it take to swap the full palm rest by a tech ?Your link says out of stock. Do you think it will be back ?Thanks for help

Figure on at least an hour's labor to disassemble and reassemble the system.

There are no doubt other sources for the part. Also note that the system is probably worth between $150 and $200 complete, so bear that in mind before proceeding with a repair.

The key caps are all individual. You can search online for a source of those.
