Inspiron 15 3511, major parts failed just after 6 months of purchase

Dear Dell Team,

I purchased a Dell laptop in 2022 with a 3-year extended warranty, trusting the Dell brand for reliability. Unfortunately, my experience has been the exact opposite.

Within just a few months of purchase, I began facing multiple hardware issues—audio problems, heating, lagging, system hang. Then the hinge became tight and eventually broke, damaging the display. After that, almost every major component failed one by one: display, motherboard, touchpad, keyboard whole body has been changed, All were replaced under warranty.

I appreciated Dell’s support during those times, but the frequency of hardware failures clearly shows that my laptop was either faulty from the start or had poor build quality. Now, just 9 months after the hinge was replaced in August 2024, the same hinge issue has occurred again.despite using the device with utmost care. This is clearly a case of poor quality or a defective unit.

To make matters worse, the representative I spoke to was dismissive, rude, refused to understand my issue. He made false claims about the service history, and finally hung up on me mid-conversation. This was extremely disappointing and unprofessional.

I request urgent action:

  • Free hinge replacement once again, since the previous one failed prematurely.

  • Written assurance for support in case of future failures, as the product has a long and documented history of defects.

  • Internal review and action on the unprofessional behavior by the Dell representative.

I chose Dell for peace of mind, not continuous repair cycles. I hope Dell will stand by its product and reputation by resolving this matter fairly.

Sincerely,

You will need to speak to support about the issues. Click the Get Help Now icon to the right of this post for assistance.

To receive assistance from Dell chat support, they need to verify the warranty status and ownership. Then you must troubleshoot with them.  Click the "Get Help Now" icon on the right to start a live chat session. If already out of warranty, click here for the Dell out of warranty offering.
