Greetings @JOcean , I did noted in my comment that it would work but at a Gen 3 speed, which is up to 32 Gbps. Hopefully, it will prevent readers to follow the linked specs and acquiring Gen 4 SSD with expectation that it will run full speed. A PCIe Gen 4 SSD speed should be up to 64 Gbps, or 7000 MB/s.

Yes, an M.2 2230 solid state drive, as from your link, will work with your Inspiron 14 7420 2-in-1.
Here is the system storage specs for your reference https://www.dell.com/support/manuals/en-us/inspiron-14-7420-2-in-1-laptop/inspiron-14-7420-2-in-1-setup-and-specifications/storage?guid=guid-a00459e0-2a64-449c-9f02-581bf2e3c2cf&lang=en-us

It should work but at a Gen 3 reduced speed as rated by your device controller.

@Chino de Oro How about this one? Because it's cheaper, does it work for Inspiron 14 7420 2-in-1?
