I want to cpu swap my Inspirion n5050
I had this laptop since a while and lately a lot of software have started to lag or stutter so i have some doubts regarding this build i was searching through web and find some clues but i am still confused what should i go for below are my laptop specs and
Processors: 4 × Intel® Core™ i5-2450M CPU @ 2.50GHz
Memory: 11.6 GiB of RAM
Graphics Processor: Mesa Intel® HD Graphics 3000
Manufacturer: Dell Inc.

If the system is running a spinning hard drive, replacing that with a solid state drive will make far more of a difference than any CPU upgrade you can use.
The system will take only second-generation Core CPUs -- an i7 2640m, 2760QM, etc. if you still want a CPU upgrade.

@ejn63 I already have a SSD all i was confused about my CPU but the thing is can i just any I7 2760qm from ebay and put it on my laptop and it gonna work ? or i need to look for some specific details. I am just doing this for the first time

All of these will be the same -- with EBay, make sure the seller is trusted. Depending on the CPU price, you might also compare the cost of a complete used system -- this system does not have much value left and a complete used system that's perhaps newer may not cost that much more than a CPU alone.
