I need to upgrade the SSD of my laptop but I don't know how to find one compatible with the laptop
Hi there,
I've a laptop Dell G5 15 5587.
It comes with an M2 NVME 128GB SSD.
These are the technical specification based on the Dell site
PCIe 3 x4 NVMe, Up to 32 Gbps Up to 1 TB
I want to upgrade the SSD to 1TB so I think that the SSD below is a good option
SK hynix Gold P31 1TB PCIe NVMe Gen3 M.2 2280 Internal SSD, Up to 3500MB/S, Compact M.2 SSD Form Factor SSD, Internal Solid State Drive with 128-Layer NAND Flash

But I'm not sure whether it's compatible with my laptop.
How can I determine whether it's compatible with my laptop?
Thank you.

Any standard M.2 2280 NVMe drive without a heatsink will work.
