How can I fix this crashing problem ? caused by Intel Smart Sound Technology SST driver Win 11 issue
Hello,
My inspiron 7591 2-in-1 crashes every time I close it for some time or when pulling out the external headphone cable.
The crash is stop code:
DRIVER_UNLOADED_WITHOUT_CANCELLING_PENNDING_OPERATION
What failed: IntcOED.sys
It is apparently a problem with Windows11 and the Audio driver:
Intel Smart Sound Technology SST
When I disable the device (in device manager), the problem stops but then the audio does not work and just a lot of noise gets produced.
They say the driver need to be updated to something like 10.30. 00.5714
Mine is 10.25.0.3950d
However, I am not able to find any place to get a later driver.
The Intel site tells me to go to the Laptop OEM.
On the Dell driver site, there is nothing and it says everything is up to date.
Microsoft support has completely repaired my system by re-installing most of Win 11 but the problem is the same.
Surely there has to be a solution for this issue?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi
You should not attempt to download Intel SST 10.30.00.5714 directly from Intel. Instead, use Windows Update or your device manufacturer’s support page to obtain and install the correct version for your system.

Yes, I read that before but there is nothing in any Windows update of any information how to do that.
My device manufacturer is Dell. But you mentioned Windows Update? That comes from Microsoft right?
As mentioned before, there is nothing on the Dell site (that I could find) for this PC under the service Tag number, regarding this driver.
Microsoft "repaired" my My Windows 11 yesterday which installed all possible updates and checked everything and it is up to date. However this driver is still the older one (flagged as problematic on Win11).
If anyone has more information, please let me know.
