HID-compliant touchpad driver completely missing after update
Inspiron 15 3520
I set my laptop to update last night and left it to do so. When i left for work and came back to use my laptop, my touchpad wasn't responding. I went into Device Manager to see if it was enabled and it was, and my touchscreen was re-enabled without my doing. After disabling the touchscreen once more, and leaving that window for a bit, I came back and the touchpad driver was just completely missing.
Since then I tried scanning for updates for drivers, restarting the laptop, trying to find some download for the missing driver from the support page to no avail, tried the support diagnostics that found no issues, and now I'm at a loss, because this laptop isn't even a month old I genuinely don't understand why my touchpad driver is completely missing. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated

Resolved, but I'll leave my resolution here in case anyone else has this issue.
Firstly, if youre able to move the mouse in a non OS state, you're still good. The solution is pretty simple, just do a clean boot. If you dont know how, here's how you do it:
Open System Config and choose Selective Startup. Uncheck Load Startup items only.
Then go to the Services tab, hide all Microsoft services and disable all others.
Then go to Task Manager and stop all startup processes.
Then restart.
Thats it. Youre all set. If this doesnt work for you, I genuinely dont know what else can be done for you
