G3 Laptop Disk Upgrade

Hi all, hoping I can get a couple of pointers / clarity regarding upgrading the drives in my G3 3779 laptop. The drives it currently has are:

Hard Drive,1TB,5.4,2.5,7,Surface Mount,SGT-RSWA (part #2J7C1)
Solid State Drive,128Gb,S3,80S3,HYNIX,SC311 (part #6HG72)

Ideally I want to upgrade both of these to larger SSD's or one larger SSD, but I'm not sure if the G3 supports either configuration.

I got in touch with Dell to quote for upgraded drives, but I don't have much faith that what they specified in the quote is compatible either:

1. HD,2TB,5.4,2.5,7,SM,WD-MN1000M
2. SSDR,256,S3,80S3,WDC,SA530

If someone with more knowledge than me (i.e. most people!) could verify or recommend a solution that would be great :)

You can have one, M.2 2280 NVMe SSD and one 2.5" SATA SSD or hard drive.

From the manual:

No need to purchase from Dell -- these are standard components you can purchase wherever you'd like.  Though Dell may only have tested drives to a certain capacity, anything that physically fits the system will work.

Storage

Table 1. Storage specifications
Type Interface Capacity
One 2.5-inch Hard Disk Drive (HDD) SATA, up to 6 Gbps Up to 2 TB
One 2.5-inch Solid-State Hybrid Drive (SSHD) SATA, up to 6 Gbps Up to 1 TB
One M.2 2280 solid-state drive (SSD) PCIe 3x4 NVMe, up to 32 Gbps

Up to 512 GB

Thanks! I'll probably replace both existing with SSD's, and now I know to have a look around for 1 xM.2 2280 NVMe SSD and 1 x 2.5" SATA SSD.
