G16 7630 Thunderbolt 4 port power query

Hello. 

I've had the above for 3 months and so far, I'm very happy with it. 

I need to get a Thunderbird 4 hub/dock and I'm aware that the 7630 will not charge via the TB4 connector (apparently a warning flashes up).

All TB4 hub/docks that I've looked at supply power to the host (laptop) as well as through other ports.

What I need to know is if any power applied to the port will cause any harm? I cannot find any info regarding this issue.
