G15 5520, does it support Thunderbolt 4?

Hello,

I have a Dell G15 5520 <To protect you, your private information was removed from public view. All private data was saved to your private Case. DELL-Admin>

According to Dell documentation, some configurations include Thunderbolt 4, but my system does NOT show any Thunderbolt Controller in Device Manager.

Please confirm specifically based on my Service Tag:

1) Does my exact unit support Thunderbolt 4?
2) Or is the USB-C port only USB 3.2 Gen 2 with DisplayPort Alt Mode?

Thank you.

If you have the RTX3060 or 3070 GPU, the system has a Thunderbolt port.  Any other model will have USB-C but not Thunderbolt.

@ejn63

Thank you.

But in my system there is NO Thunderbolt Controller in Device Manager.

Can you confirm based on my Service Tag specifically, not general model specifications?

Because currently it looks like my unit does not have Thunderbolt hardware.

Look at the rear of the laptop.

If you see this, it is GeForce RTX 3060 Thunderbolt 4 =

If you see this, it is GeForce RTX 3050 Ti/3070 USB-C-DP =
