Flagged As stolen
Good Day, We bought a Dell Laptop in March 2022 and have full records of payment and invoice from Mac Shack in South Africa. The laptop needs a battery replacement and we contacted Dell support and they told us that the Laptop has been flagged as "Stolen". We bought it as new and not able to understand how it was flagged as stolen by " original" owner and how to resolve it. Anyone can help Thanks

It would have been reported by the owner to Dell. Any questions would have to be directed to the seller. Since the system is long out of battery warranty, it doesn't really matter in terms of buying a replacement battery.

@ejn63 Thanks for the response ejn63. I have asked the seller and they are investigaing the supply chain . Dell support refuses to send the battery quote :)
