FIXING Dell Inspiron 14 N4050 Blackscreen/Flickering ETC

Hi Guys lets fix Dell Inspiron 14 N4050 blackscreen or Flickering Screen. 

Steps is:

@power off your laptop,  then

1. Hard reset,  to do this unplug battery 

2.hold power button for 20sec then plug In ac adaptor

3. Plug usb bootable for Dos (x64 is freedos,  x86 is MS-Dos)  live iso you can get on archive web wth FD11 ISO or MS-DOS 6.22 latest,  you must put BIOS A08 in dir freedos and relative on ms-dos you must put bios update file in right place,  because the iso boot is isolated,  so you must use any compitable software to add bios update on ISO if you use bootable maker all in one iso and image just with copy paste VTOY, 

More option is making bootable usb dos is with PISO or RFUS.

Then F12 to boot menu choice usb,  then do A08namefiles.exe /forceit (do not cancel or fail when process updating bios is run) 

4. Turn of power then turn on again together with F12 or FN till you can go to ePSA do this diagnostic till done. 

5. I believe you should have smartphone even maybe you dont jave external monitor,  so you must buy hdmi video capture and hdmi cable and use app camera on your phone download it from app store,  maybe buy new cmos battery and new ram is good idea,  everything i mean on this steps is we can use low budget to fix blackscreen. 

6. Turn off power,  plug in HDMI Cable to HDMI socket port on you  laptop,  then plug in too to HDMI  video capture then open usb camera on your smartphone (allow access required when app ask for permission)  ,  then connect it to your USB OTG to smartphone, turn on your laptop then together push F2 (BIOS)  or F12 (Boot menu go to evpSA etc) 

You must get good timing BiOS in there or Boot menu in there even you hard to see it or cant see it with you laptop display screen because blackscreen or Flickering Screen etc. 

Connect HDMI video capture on OTG already pluged to your smartphone,  usb camera app will show you color bar when HDMI video capture connect with your phone,  so on your laptop press FN and F1 together,  laptop will turn off displayscreen but laptop machine is still on then your usb camera or external monitor will show you screen display from your laptop. 

Any smartphone have criteria not same,  so choice HDMI Video capture or cable no need high cost,  low budget can work too, 

So that step is final next step to you to fix ypur laptop,  is your laptop must go buy some hardware or no,  or you feel emough can see your laptop screen from external display is up to you, 

If your laptop cant give any screen to external display it is indicated so many problem can fixing with high budget,  maybe 84 dollar. 

If you dont have 84 dollar,  26 dollar is more then enough to fix your black screen etc. 

Ok final answer for any blackscreen is must use external display,  so it makes easy to feel know why laptop is blackscreen before use more money or put away good machine be untouch.
