Expert Key Management feature in UEFI?

Hello

Hello, I have a question. How do I restore factory settings in the Expert Key Management feature in UEFI? Does this feature affect the Windows 11 license and will it accidentally delete the product key?

There should be the option to do that in setup - you haven't provided the system model, so if you need the specifics, use the service tag to look up the specific system documentation at dell.com/support

The expert key manager doesn't affect the Windows license key - it's for enabling your own secure boot keys.  You don't need it unless you're installing a different boot manager or have your own secure boot keys.

It's not clear what you've done, or what you're trying to do.  A more detailed answer requires an explanation.

I simply want "expert key management" to restore to factory settings, as if I took a new Dell laptop out of the box. I will reinstall Windows 11 from a pendrive.

Unless you've changed that setting, there is no need to change it back to do a factory restore.  However, unless you've made an image backup of the system as received, a restore won't take the system back to its condition when you received it.  You can do a restore, but without a backup image previously made, there is no going back to an exact out of box image.

The Windows license key as shipped is hard coded onto the mainboard.  It will not have been changed.

I will be reinstalling the system, I won't be restoring anything. I once installed Ubuntu and I want to delete any old keys created after Linux. Tell me how to do this; nothing from the previous systems should remain there.
