Dell Inspiron 17" 3780 - Memory Increase
Hi all,
Precursor - I am not especially technical and have not ever under taken personal enhancements to IT kit before.
My laptop memory has been full for a while, and I am now at the point where I'd like to increase the SSD and RAM to prolong it's life.
I've googled and found videos that show it should be pretty straightforward, but I wanted to post on here to make sure I'm not missing anything before I go ahead.
Will the fan I have be sufficient for additional parts?
Thanks in advance for your guidance.

The system will take up to one M.2 2280 NVMe SSD and one 2.5" SATA drive -- and 32G RAM.
Unfortunately a 32 G memory kit at this point is about $200 -- it's a bad time to be buying memory upgrades.

Thanks - appreciate the help.
I have two slots for RAM - currently one 8GB - does the other spot have to match up, or can I put a 16GB in there?

For best performance, memory should be in equal capacity pairs. If you install a 16, only 16 G total will run in full performance mode (dual channel). The other 8 will be in half-bandwidth mode.
