Dell inspiron 1501 bios not working
When i boot up a old dell inspiron 1501 I noticed that the bios wasn't working it was stuck in the process

Yes -- and if it won't power up without a battery (on AC only and with just a memory module or modules installed), it's going to be in need of a repair that will exceed the value of the system.
Just about any repair to a 17 year old system will exceed the value of the system.

Unplug the system, remove the hard drive and remove and reinstall the memory modules. With the battery out, plug in the adapter and see if the system will POST. If it will, add back the battery and hard drive one at a time to see if either halts the POST sequence. Then replace whichever device halts POST.
If the system won't POST to a setup screen with just memory installed, recycle it.

@ejn63 thanks i reinstalled the hdd and it somehow got it working and booted into windows
