Why isn't Dell helping with upgrading these laptops? Mine was purchased from Dell is 6 years old and seems this chip is actually compatible with Win 11 however MS have just used a cut off date with chips rather than chips that actually have the features for Win 11 which this chip does, feel very let down Microsoft but also Dell as the laptop is not that old and chip does have the features required

You can install Windows 11 on the system -- just not in supported mode.
Microsoft set minimums for CPU support in Windows 11 which your system does not meet (and those minimums appear to be soon to rise to an 11th generation CPU, so it's a continuing story).
