Dell Inspirion 42 Watt 3.0mm DC Plug Charger for 3593 laptop,
Hello,
I just purchased a new Laptop battery and charger for my inspirion 15 3593 the charger after reading the specs after I placed the order, dumb but it shows a 65 watt 4.5mm DC connector, My original is 42 watts and is 3.0mm DC plug. This will need to be returned and do you have the older charger for this laptop stil ?.

Dell has never used a 3 mm DC plug -- they're either 4.5 or 7.5 mm diameter.
The adapter is either 45 or 65W. The 65W will work in place of the original 45W adapter.
So, it sounds like as long as the adapter is OEM Dell, you're all set.
