Dell G5 15 5500 Nvidia GPU isn't detected... sometimes
Hello here !
I'm here to ask assistance a problem I've been having for a while now : sometimes, when I start my Dell G5 15 5500, the GPU (Nvidia 2070 MaxQ) isn't detected either on Bios setup or device manager. I only occurs after being shutdown for some times, like a night or just my travel between school and home.
This odd behavior started occurring once I got back my PC from repair because of a motherboard issue where it couldn't display anything on screen, so the support changed the mother board. After getting it back, I let it slides thinking it would fix itself... but once I figured out that this won't be solved by an update or something, post support warranty was expired, so I just got used to it, despite tilting me a bit.
Restarting the computer doesn't fixes the issue... But powering off does until I power it off again. Plus, it doesn't occurs all the time, and I can't really reproduce it on my own, I just have to pray that it will work right away after letting it shut down for some times. I should also add that being plugged to the power AC adapter doesn't seems to affect it, at least I think... And I've already try some fixes recommend in some forum but never exposed my own on it.
If someone could provide me some assistance that would be really nice, I have been bearing this annoying problem for almost 2 years and I'm getting tired of it.
PS : I don't really know if that's a really relevant details but letting my PC for an extend amount of time in prolonged hibernation when I'm not using it causes it to blue screen (on Windows obviously).
(completely unrelated but can't I add my device on the "Select the product you need help with" section, once I do it seems to add it, but the page darkens and I can't interact with anything unless I reload it, removing the device, weird)

To receive assistance from Dell chat support, they need to verify the warranty status and ownership. Then you must troubleshoot with them. Click the "Get Help Now" icon on the right to start a live chat session. If already out of warranty, click here for the Dell out of warranty offering.
