Dell G3 3779 17" Laptop Win 11 Update
Hi I have a Dell G3 3779 17 with a Build 4400.04 UEFI ROM. and I cannot find anywhere in the Bios to enable TPM 2.0. All the Dell support Literature online says that it is Windows 11 compatable but I cant fin0d the enableing anywhere. There is no reference to TPM in the Bios.
Has anyone on here managed to do it? The processor is an Intel i7-8750H. Thanks in anticipation Bob.-*-****0

The system doesn't have a TPM -- but the CPU should support Intel PTT (platform trust technology) unless it was originally sold in a market where TPM is illegal.
Look for that setting in the security settings in Setup.

Hi
W11 should install with no problems, I have installed W11 on a 2015 HP laptop using Rufus.
It wont do updates as it's too old. Your device should.
So have you tried, and any success/errors encountered.
The internet reports....
The Dell G3 3779 (circa 2019, UK version) does not have a discrete TPM 2.0 chip installed, but its CPU supports Intel Platform Trust Technology (PTT), which is a firmware-based TPM 2.0 implementation compatible with Windows 11 requirements.
Key points:
The system does not have a physical TPM module, but the CPU supports PTT, which can be enabled in the BIOS to provide TPM 2.0 functionality needed for Windows 11 installation and features like BitLocker (source 3, source 5).
To enable PTT (firmware TPM) on the Dell G3 3779:
Reboot and press F2 to enter BIOS setup.
Navigate to the Security section.
Find and enable Intel PTT or TPM 2.0 Security.
Also ensure the system is set to UEFI boot mode (not Legacy/CSM).
The system drive should be formatted with GPT partitioning for Windows 11 compatibility.
Much as @ejn63 intimated it would.
