Dell G16 7630 loose Power Cable

Good Day,
Back in march received the G16, and noticed power cable was not very snug, and would fall out if laptop moved. I tried speaking with live chat, and would cut off, and just though, maybe a design flaw, give its a chunky power brick and thick cable.

As the months have gone on its become much more irritating to the point i tried live chat once again today. Asking if this was maybe an issue from when i received this, or just perhaps a design flaw i was greeted with comment such as its damaged, and i have to pay for it to be repaired. Even thought like this as new, and just six months old, customer service consistently implied i have damaged the port, despite me saying the port is fine, and cable just not very snug.

This was a relatively expensive laptop, with the options we chose, and i find the customer service to be amongst the worst i have experienced, and bitterly disappointed with the experience, to the point i dont feel i can recommend Dell to students i teach.

I expect a little bit of gaffer tape on the power cable will make it snug, but thats not the point, its the insinuation i damaged it thats insane to me.
