Dell G15 5530 Maximum Storage?
How much is the maximum storage for the G15 5530?
I have 1xSSD m.2 2230 slot (no screw thread or bracket for 2280) + 1xSSD m.2 2280 slot
On the Dell website it says maximum 4TB (2+2) but is that a configuration for purchace or is it a hard cap.
I'd like to upgrade my storage to 6 or 8TB (2+4 / 4+4).

2TB is the maximum size that Dell has tested in the 5530. But you can install a 4TB SSD and a 2TB for a total of 6TB.

@JOcean Thanks for the quick reply! Do you think it matters which slot do I use the 4TB drive?
Also you don't think it's possible to get 2x4TB for a total of 8TBs in there?

@Deyer4o Use Slot 1 for the primary drive. And 2 x 4 should work. The specs can be found here.

@JOcean on that page it says "up to 1TB" and "up to 2TB" even in the pdf version. That's why I was wondering about the specs. Would be a bit surprised if it is truly only capped at that ;p

@Deyer4o As I stated previously Dell only posts what they have tested and not the maximum. If you need more proof check the total at the Crucial page here.
