Dell G15 5510 HDMI Capping external monitor refresh rate at 60hz
Today, i got a new gaming monitor which is 180hz and I hooked it up to my Dell G15 5510 via hdmi and i noticed that the max refresh rate is 60hz and thought it was maybe the hdmi cable, got a brand new hdmi cable still locked at 60hz, so then i tried on my other laptop and i got full 180hz on that laptop but not my gaming laptop. someone please help

For system that was shipped with RTX 3060, connect your external display to the thunderbolt port (port #1 as pictured below) using a USB-C to DisplayPort or USB-C to HDMI adapter/cable. That would provide direct connect to the RTX card with optimal resolutions.
