Dell G15 5110 new Power Adaptors wattage is not seen in Bios

Hi Everyone ,

Well I have tried a new genuine adaptor this one worked for 1 full battery charge and then the next day. The adaptor wattage was not shown in the BIOS and not able to charge the battery yet again.

I have tried all dell solutions and nothing changes, the system works well just on power but will not charge.

the battery. Please not thge battery holds charge when the system allows it to charge, I personally think the power management controller chip may be corrupted. But all dell tests state the system is good Battery Good and Power supply Good . Makes no sense. any ideas as i thought Dell was better than this

If the problem with the original adapter was the same and hasn't been resolved, replace the DC jack.

@ejn63  Gday i would like to say that i have verified the fault was indeed in the dc connector to the mainboard.

Some tech LOL had used a prob in the female ribbon sky that connects to the mainboard and totaly fd the connector. Thanks for the input
