Dell Computer Inpiron 5559 AC Adapter not charging the computer
My computer is not working I cannot charge it i have to angle the charger to charge the computer even if I do get into the computer and it says it's charged it isn't if i go into the bios setup it states AC Adapter=Unknown i can't tell if it's the battery itself or the Adapter

The adapter needs to be recognized before the battery will charge. There are three possibilities:
The adapter plug is damaged, or the adapter itself is bad,
The DC jack is bad or
The mainboard charge circuit is bad (much lower probability).
Try another OEM Dell AC adapter. If it works, you're set. If not, replace the DC jack:

Anything beyond that should be considered in light of the age and value of the system -- the latter, about $50 complete and working.
