There are multiple things to consider.

First, the M.2 slot has no screen connection - you will need an external monitor.

Second, once installed  you will not be able to close up the system chassis, rendering your notebook a desktop computer, as it will no longer be portable.

Third, there are no guarantees the system will boot with a GPU interposer installed, nor will you ever see the bandwidth needed by a GPU.

If you want an eGPU, purchase a desktop system for it -- even a used desktop system will give you better results, and allow your notebook to function as a portable.

No one can guarantee you that.  I don't see where you'd be able to route the required cables, and bear in mind that you still need to sacrifice a wireless adapter -- and that slot has nowhere near the bandwidth needed for a GPU.

In exchange for sacrificing portability, you'll end up with a system that may give you 15% of what a GPU in a desktop system can.

Dell Inspiron 15 3511 does not support external GPUs via Thunderbolt  Workarounds (like mini PCIe) are complex and not recommended.
