Bluetooth - no button to turn it on

Used my laptop while out of the office on Friday and instead of taking my dongle with me for my bluetooth mouse, I plugged in a Dell USB mouse. All good.

Connected to my office set up after the weekend on Monday morning and no bluetooth. I looked everywhere and checked the action centre, but no bluetooth icon and nothing in device manager. All my bluetooth devices were showing up with "bluetooth off" against them.

Tried turning the laptop off and turning back on - no change.

Added a USB key board and separate USB mouse - they didnt register when plugged in and didnt work.

Hit the restart button leaving the two USB devices attached, and when it rebooted they both worked.

Checked the Action Centre and low and behold the bluetooth icon was back. I turned it off and back on again and then removed the USB mouse and keyboard. Turned on my bluetooth mouse and keyboard and they both working.

This was the first time I had plugged in a USB mouse to the laptop - so at this stage its the only potential catalyst for triggering the issue.

This will hopefully help some people who may have the same issue, and avoid an un-necessary replacement of the WiFi board as suggested in a previous 2019 post with the same/similar title.

@ejn63 Thanks for the suggestion, which I'm sure would work in the circumstances described, however - there was absolutely no visibility of a bluetooth icon anywhere within the system (Windows 10). Its like it didnt exist! Similarly, after I went through all the steps I listed, everything returned to what and where it should be.
