Ac adapter

Hello, I have a Dell G15 5515 laptop that came with a 180-watt AC adapter. I keep getting an error message when I open it saying that an 80-watt AC adapter is detected and that performance will be adjusted accordingly.

So, I'm having constant performance issues. The BIOS is updated via Dell support. The battery charges fine despite the message, but performance is severely affected.

I tried using a 240-watt AC adapter that isn't an official Dell one. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

Do you have any ideas as to what could be causing this problem?
