8TB M2 SSD for Dell Inspiron 14 7420 Plus
hello, can someone help me with the following information?
on a Dell Inspiron 14 7420 Plus laptop can I install an 8TB M2 type ssd or is the capacity limit lower?

There isn't a capacity limit, but you'll need to find an 8T drive that will fit physically into the system -- some have heatsinks attached (they're power intensive), so they may not physically fit.
I would also be careful with the power requirements -- an 8T drive is likely to be very power intensive, which will reduce your battery runtimes and may also destabilize the system, which isn't designed to cool a drive of that capacity.

I would think again about using that drive -- which draws more than 10W power -- in a system as slim and light as the one you have. At best, it'll be throttling a good part of the time due to the heat generated. At worst, it could significantly shorten the life of both the system and the drive as a result.
