Windows 10 neu aufsetzen - Frage nach Lizenz/ Produktkey
Guten Tag!
Ich habe in 2018 einen Dell INSPIRON Desktop gekauft.
In diesen möchte ich nun eine SSD einbauen. Die eingebaute HDD möchte ich nicht mehr verwenden.
Da ich ja anschließend Windows 10 neu aufsetzen (installieren) muss, werde ich das »Media Creation Tool« verwenden, um mir eine boot fähige DVD zu erstellen. Soweit so gut.
Nun habe ich folgende Frage:
Ich hatte ja damals beim Kauf die Windows 10-Lizenz mit erworben.
Nun ist die Frage, ob ich bei der Neuinstallation von Windows 10 einen Produktkey benötige. Ich habe bis dato ja nie einen benötigt und mir ist auch nicht mehr bewusst, in damals einen erhalten bzw. auch benötigt habe.
Kann mir hierzu bitte jemand etwas sagen?

Since you had an activated Windows 10 OS on your system, installing an SSD will not affect the activation. The key is tied to the MB and not the HDD or an SSD. When you clean install and reach the point where it asks for the key simply click on the "I don't have a key" on the bottom of the window. Once installed Windows 10 will auto activate.
