Use SupportAssist OS Recovery clone to restore hard drive
Used SupportAssist OS Recovery to clone the hard drive on my new Inspiron All-in-One 24 5430 desktop computer to a USB thumb drive; if my system software becomes corrupted by malware or a hacker, can the clone be used to restore the primary hard drive to its good state? Right now my computer has Windows 11 with all updates, McAfee antivirus, and some third party software which I have installed; no personal files yet on this device. Thanks!

in my experience with AIO Inspiron, you can use SA to recover OS to original factory config. there may be option to keep or wipe all data when you do that.

It's an older experience, but when I was sent malware in a photo file back in 2013, wiping the HDD and reloading didn't do the trick for wiping out the malware. So, if the worst were to happen, it might be best to use a new SSD/HDD.
