Touch screen
Hi, I have a Inspiron 24 5420 All-in-One desktop. When I first got it, I disabled the touchscreen because my kittens would mess with it. Now they're adults and not interested in my desktop anymore, but I cannot figure out how to turn it back on. My online searches keep leading me to one solution: go to the Device Manager, choose Human Interface Devices, right-click on HD-compliant touch screen, and click "enable device. However, "enable device" is not an option. It only shows me "disable device." I don't know what else to do. I don't recall it being very difficult to turn it off. Why is it so hard to turn back on?? lol

Hi
Hope this helps...
If you do not see "HID-compliant touch screen," your system may not have a touch screen, or the necessary drivers may not be installed.
ELSE
Run Dell SupportAssist to check for hardware or driver issues
If the touch screen is still not working, try calibrating it via Control Panel > Tablet PC Settings > Calibrate

Check in Setup (F2 at powerup). On some systems, the touchscreen can be disabled at the firmware level.
