Support Assist perpetual loading

I just reinstalled Windows fresh and ran Support Assist to get Dell updates. There were twelve of them and I chose to update all. I think all off them downloaded and some installed, but it was stuck on one of the updates for over an hour. The task manager showed it was using 0% hard drive and little CPU. So I closed the program, restarted windows and ran it again. I chose to install all updates again. This time I only got a loading screen while my CPU usage averaged 50% and 0% hard drive. I waited about 30 minutes and nothing happened. Next I just tried installing one program and I got the same loading for about an hour now.

I have an Inspiron 3671.

SA is Dell bloatware.  you do not need it to downloand dell updates.  If it is irreparably stuck try system recovery or do a factory reset.

It's not stated what OS you're using.  If your using Win10 or 11, the updates can be had thru Windows, including Dell updates.  Dell firmware/BIOS updates come that way.  Waves MaxAudio Pro was downloaded to my PC that way also.  Could've been thru Windows optional updates.
