Studio Slim D540S reuse for microATX motherboard
This slim case supports standard mATX case with IO shield. 
psu can upgrade to TFX
I used a Solid Gear TFX 350w psu (advertised to have 6 pin pcie but none existed when box is opened)
front panel is industry standard.
supports half height DVD drive and a 3.5 FDD too if needed.
I removed the chassis top vent fan to unblock air vent hole

the nice thing of slim case such as this is it supports new mobo IO shield.
the earlier model such as Vostro 200S has a fixed back IO shield which is not good.

update installed Studio XPS 8100 mobo in 540S case
the top exhaust fan is
Its cable is too short to reach mobo sys fan header.
will see if the enclosure of fan can fit a standard 80 mm fan, although the enclosure is designed for a super thin oem fan.
