Replacement fan for Inspiron 3250
Inspiron 3250
Hi, i have an Inspiron 3250 that has been working very well as a gaming emulator system running Arch Linux. Recently the fan has started to make a slight grinding sound, probably the bearings are failing. Can anyone recommend a replacement fan? I have no problem installing it, I have built many computers before. The Dell site doesn't list any fan in their Parts section. I realize I could probably take off the fan and try to order the same model from a third party store but if there is an official one available I would prefer that. Thanks.

Cpu heatsink fan or chassis fan? to differentiate unplug one of the fans to tell if that was source of noise.
cpu heatsink fan better replaced by entire oem HSF assembly which is cheaper and easier.
chassis fan has DP/N on it which you can buy identical new oem replacement. I think it may be MPNKK
