Problems downloading pictures

I just purchased a Inspiron desktop and I’m having problems downloading pictures off of a memory card.  I tried downloading 370 pictures and the last half are showing an error status, with 2 showing sync pending.  I even get an error message when I created an empty folder on my desktop.

Any suggestions?
