Please Help: Desktop freezing while browsing the internet
Two new (2024) Inspiron Desktop computers also frequently freeze when using the internet EDGE Browser. The keypad, both numbers and letters, do not input the key typed. Seems to go away after an hour or so.

A review of the "Dell Update" Application Logs showed both computers were doing updates at the same time the browser froze up.
Further info - "Dell Update" application was depreciated in 12/2024 and replaced by "Dell SupportAssist" Application. Per info in "Dell Update" message.
"Dell Update" was uninstalled, "Dell SupportAssist" installed. Note SupportAssist often fails to start.
As of March 2026, following the switch to "Dell SupportAssist" no further internet browser freezing has occurred.
