NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 – Quiet/Cool if No Gaming?
I would like to know if the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 creates noticeable heat/noise when no gaming apps are running. Secondly, is there a different graphics card I can order from Dell that satisfies my needs listed below and produces less heat and noise than the RTX 3050.
I would like to hear from someone who is running a Dell configuration similar to the one listed below for Office apps, youtube and web access but no gaming.
My reasons for needing a discrete graphics card instead of the onboard UHD Graphics 770 are as follows:
Support 2 old monitors that do not allow DisplayPort daisy chaining.
Support these screen resolutions and connections:
Monitor 1: 1200x1920 @ 60Hz - DisplayPort
Monitor 2: 2560x1440 @ 60Hz – DisplayPort or HDMI.
The Inspirion 3020 HDMI port is v1.4b which does not support my monitor’s resolution.
What is your experience?
I'm considering the purchase of this Dell Configuration:
Inspirion 3020, Intel i7-13700, 16GB DDR4, 3200 MHz, 512GB SSD also 1 TB HDD and a discrete graphics card that will run quiet and cool.

Not responding specifically to your graphics card question but to the configuration you are considering. For memory, get 2 RAM modules; like 16GB (2x8GB) or 32GB (2x16GB) so your memory can run in the much more efficient dual channel mode. For storage, HDD spinning platters are so last century. Consider going digital with a 2.5-inch SSD.
