No signl coming from your device

My dell monitor has been saying there is no HDMI input signal coming from my device. I checked the HDMI cable and it is fine, I think there might be something wrong with the monitor itself. Any idea on how to fix this? It has happened once before but it solved itself and worked fine after that.
