New Inspiron 3020
Just recently purchased a new Inspiron 3020 to replace my old XPS 8500. Is there an app that will aid in transferring all info from my old desktop?

Have a look at Dell Migrate. Video here.
I assume this software is available to run on your new Inspiron 3020...

Thank you for your info. regarding Dell Migrate. Do I have to have two monitors in order to achieve this migration?

Yes, but you could use a TV with an HDMI-IN port connected to one of the two PCs. If you don't have two monitors or a monitor plus a TV with HDMI, maybe you can borrow a monitor from someone for a few hours...
Keep in mind that Dell Migrate will only copy data files, but not Windows or software files. So any software you've run on the old PC will have to be installed directly into Win 11 on the new PC. I'd install all that software first before using Dell Migrate to move data files.
As an alternative with only one monitor, copy all your data files from the old PC onto an external USB HDD or into the cloud (eg, Microsoft OneDrive). Then move the monitor to the new PC, and copy the data files from wherever you stored the files onto the new PC.

I upgraded to my new 3020S from an XPS8700 that was now showing its age in terms of speed (although not versatility). I took the opportunity to transfer my data files manually to facilitate leaving all the unnecessary baggage behind.
I can now take risks with the old XPS and see if a software rebuild will improve its speed.
