monitor with HDMI-HDMI cable no longer working Inspiron 3020S

Good afternoon, as per subject the monitor on an Inspiron 3020S is no longer working correctly. This has been going on for some weeks now.   I    tried to downgrade but I have had no luck. Maybe the problem is not the BIOS but somewhere between BIOS/driver/windows updates? This means that if you upgrade to the new BIOS you have to implement new settings elsewhere too? I spoke to tech support and they gave no answer that could fix the problem. I have an Inspiron 3020S and win 11 and the monitor is an Ilyiama. Was working fine until a few weeks ago. Let's say I  downgraded to the previous version of BIOS of April, and there was no change; last night, I tried to downgrade to an earlier version of the BIOS and the Inspiron would not let me proceed.  The monitor does not work when connected with an HDMI-HDMI cable. It will work on other pcs and used to work on the Inspiron too. Now it works on the Inspiron only with a video Display cable that I bought. Is there any advice to have the HDMI-HDMI option working again?  Thanks
