mini sata connector cable?
There is what appears to be a mini SATA connector at the end of a cable coming from my motherboard (Dell Inspiron 3020 Desktop). Anyone know what this is? It doesn't connect to either an SSD, or a regular hard drive.

most likely proprietary Dell power connector supposed to be connected to motherboard. modern Dell desktop uses ATX12VO psu. psu supplies only 12V to motherboard. motherboard circuit generates 5V and 3.3V for SSD or HDD. this sata power cable connects to motherboard with one end being miniSATA form factor and having proprietary pinout, the other end standard SATA power connector.
