Make new SSD my C: drive?

I have an Inspiron 3670 that had a HDD C drive and an M.2 D drive in RAID.

I pucrhased a new SSD and cloned my C drive to it.  Then I removed the HDD C drive and replaced it with the new SSD.  I expected the system to boot up to my new SSD as drive C.

But instead, the system booted up to my M.2 SSD and called it C.  My new SSD is called A.

How can I change the drive letter of my current C drive and change my new SSD to C?

TIA.

Hi

I use Paragon Partition Manager CE to do such things.

Once the cloning is done, you must boot the system for the first time with ONLY the new drive installed (disconnect the original drive).

@ejn63 ...Thanks for the reply.

If I remove the M.2 SSD that is the current drive C and manage to boot up from my new SSD, what will keep the system from reverting back to the way it is now, when I boot up after I replace the M.2?

Once the new drive is marked as your boot device, it will remain that way even if you reconnect the original drive, in the same way that booting the new drive in the presence of the original marked it as a secondary.
